Discussed issues

  • Phillip will prioritize the items in the requirement document.
  • Sylvia managed to make UDDI Browser (UB) work with Grimoires. UB has a pretty GUI. UB makes use of the uddi4j library.
  • Phillip confirms that the feta schema becomes stable now.
  • Ontology reasoning in Grimoires is discussed. One concern is that ontology reasoning will considerably degrade Grimoires' performance. Therefore, there is no point to switch on ontology reasoning for registry data that do not require reasoning. It is useful to separate registry data to different models, so that reasoning can be enabled only on some models. Simon pointed out that reasoning acts on the inference model created from the original models, so that it is possible to operate the original models without reasoning at the same time. This point needs to be confirmed.
  • There will be a meeting on 2pm this Friday to discuss the design of the FETA interface in Luc's office.
  • We need to think about how to demo Grimoires, for instance, modifying UB as Grimoires' client GUI, or using Feta's GUI to demo Grimoires' functions.
